School Advisory Council

Parents and guardians want the best education for their children. Our goal is to provide your family with a positive learning environment, with a variety of programs and services that promote outstanding student achievement.

Parents and guardians are children's first and life-long teachers. We value the partnership between home and school and know that parental involvement is the key to success in school. You can be involved by helping your child with homework, volunteering in our school, or joining our school council. By welcoming you and providing opportunities for you to be involved, we can work together to ensure that our students receive the very best education.

Mountview SAC Website – Please sign up

The Mountview School Advisory Council now has its own website.  Please note, this website is separate to the school’s tdsb website and is maintained by SAC as an information resource for Mountview parents and caregivers.

Once you are logged in, you will see the site has a class noticeboard set up for each grade.  The class noticeboards are not an official communication channel with the school or your classroom teacher – rather they are a way for families to stay connected during COVID and share ideas and conversations (teachers and school administration are also most welcome to join!)  Please ensure conversations are kept kind and respectful and no personal/sensitive information is shared via this platform.

Instructions to register for website access are as follows:

  • Go to https://www.mountviewalternativecouncil.com/
  • Click log in button at the top right of the screen
  • Click sign up (written in green next to New to this site?)
  • Click sign up with email at bottom of the page

  • Council will then approve your request and you will receive email confirmation that you’re good to go!
  • If you have any issues, please email mountviewalternative.secretary@gmail.com

The website is new (and we are learning as we go), so please bear with us as we get everyone set up.
