  • The Planning and Priorities Committee recommendations regarding the Program Area Review were presented to the Board of Trustees at a meeting on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

The Board decided:

(a) That the Castlebar site be established as Castlebar Junior School, a standalone Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5 school, offering Junior Kindergarten to Grade 3 effective September 1, 2019, expanding to Grade 4 effective September 1, 2020, and expanding to Grade 5 effective September 1, 2021;

(b) That a junior attendance area for Castlebar be established from a portion of the Norseman Junior Middle school junior attendance area north of the Gardiner Expressway, west of Royal York Road, south of Titan Road and the utility corridor, and east of Kipling Avenue effective September 1, 2019, as presented in the report.

School Donations
Did you know…..?
You can donate directly to Norseman Junior Middle School! The Toronto District School Board is a registered charity and any donation over $25.00 will receive a receipt for tax purposes. You are able to direct your donation towards a specific fundraising goal, a particular class or program or a general donation to benefit the school as needs be. Just follow this link: click on “Make a Donation” and follow the simple instructions. Norseman thanks you for your generous support!

Commencing February 1, 2019, kindergarten registrations are moving online.  You will need to access the online registration system to create an account, find Norseman school and complete a registration form.

Once you have completed the online portion of the registration process, you will receive a confirmation email, including information about next steps. Please be sure to check your Inbox and Junk Mail folder to avoid missing the email.

Copies of the following documents are required when you visit the school to complete the registration:

Birth certificate or passport

Immigration papers (if applicable)

Health card

Immunization record

Two proofs of address (two pieces of mail showing your name and address)
