Bell Times - Don't be late

In order to provide the best possible program for students, it is necessary for them to attend school regularly and on time.  The Education Act states that it is the responsibility of the parent (or guardian) to ensure that their children attend school regularly, until the age of 18.

We have noticed an increase in students arriving late to school, especially in the mornings. As noted in regular Updates it is a healthy habit to walk to school and the traffic loop out front of North Agincourt JPS is often congested and very slow.

To help families ensure their children arrive on time for class we are providing a reminder of bell times and encourage students to arrive at 8:32 when our staff are in the yard to supervise prior to the beginning of class.

8:32 AM - Supervision begins. Students are encouraged to arrive and prepare for the day.
8:47 AM - Entry Bell - students enter their classrooms.
8:50 AM - Classes begin, students arriving at this bell are late for class.
11:35 AM - Lunch hour begins, Lunchroom Supervisors (LRS) are present.

12:18 PM - Additional staff joins LRS in the main yard
12:33 PM - Entry Bell for Grades 1-6 (Kindergartens are already in class)
12:35 PM - Classes begin, students arriving at this bell are late for class.
3:20 PM - Classes end, students MUST be picked up promptly at this time.
