Seneca School was originally built by the Metropolitan Toronto Association in 1967 to serve students from ages seven to twenty-one years of age. Currently, Seneca School provides a structured team approach using collaborative inquiry to support the achievement and well-being of every student, aged 4 to 12, who have developmental challenges along with their families.

We offer our students a variety of experiences to help each child reach his or her potential. We believe in our students and celebrate their achievements.
Details of our school include: 12 classrooms, a Library, 2 adapted playrooms, Art Room, Music Room, Life Skills Room, gym, Snoezelen Room and an outdoor adapted playground. On staff, we have 14.5 Special Education Teachers, 16.5 Educational Assistants, 12 Lunchroom Supervisors, 9 ISSA SIP's, 1 Deaf/Blind Intervenors and 2 Registered Nurses. We have access to a variety of district wide consultative staff, including a Psycho-educationalConsultant, a Speech/Language Pathologist, a Physiotherapist, a Social Worker and an Occupational Therapist. Our students benefit from an adapted aquatics program and from community walks to the greenhouse in the park, the public library, the plaza and the grocery store. Our school is wheelchair accessible.
