Parents play an important role in our school. Teachers and families work closely together to ensure that the children are working towards the same goals at school and at home.
Teachers and families maintain daily connection in a home-and-school communication book.
Seneca School hosts family events and Workshops/Information sessions throughout the school year. Often paired with School Council meetings, Let's Talk sessions cover topics such as supporting your child's IEP goals at home, transitions to high school, healthy eating and feeding strategies, communication, accessing community resources and March Break and summer program options.
These daytime and evening sessions are wonderful opportunities for parents to meet and talk to other families experiencing the unique challenges of caring for a child with special needs.
