Student Engagement

Student Engagement

Scarlett builds a sense of community both in and outside of the classroom. Through extra-curricular activities, staff and students stay engaged, exercise different skills, and learn more about themselves and each other. Being involved in our many clubs and teams gives us all a time to shine and unites the Wolfpack talent.

Participation in school activities is strongly encouraged for all students. Students participating in co-curricular activities are expected to display good citizenship through satisfactory attendance and appropriate conduct and punctuality in their classroom life, their teams, and activities.

Academic & Athletic Eligibility Policy

The Academic Eligibility Policy applies to all students who wish to participate on sports teams, clubs, and Council, attend leadership camps or any other school activities that involve missing classes.

Achievement: Student athletes must have passed at least 3 courses and achieved an overall average of at least 60% in the previous semester to be academically eligible. For a student taking 4 courses the failing mark does not count in determining the 60% average. OSS students with 24 credits or more must be a full time student and maintain 60% average in 2 courses.

Attendance: The student athlete must demonstrate excellent attendance and effort.

Deportment: The student must maintain exemplary behaviour
