The Cross Country team from Sloane participated in the North Conference Qualifying meet on October 5, at Earl Bales Park.

The students of Sloane represented our school well and gave a great effort. Seven students; Matheesha S., Alice L., Mazin B., Karamullah B., Adonis B., Jasmine J. and Olivia O. finished high enough in their events to move on to the North Conference Finals held at Earl Bales Park on October 16th.

At the North Conference finals, the seven advancing students represented Sloane with great enthusiasm. Adonis B. and Jasmine J. finished in the top 20 in their events which qualified them to move onto the City Championships. The City Championships were held at Centennial Park, on October 22nd.

At the City Championships, Adonis and Jasmine represented Sloane and put forth their best efforts. Jasmine finished in 98th place and Adonis finished 36th out of over 100 students!

Congratulations to all of the Cross Country team but especially, Jasmine and Adonis on their outstanding accomplishments!

We would like to thank the parents that helped at the cross country meet. We would also like to thank Ms. Kadlec-Brown, Ms. Meitanis, Ms. Ritchie and Mr. Barida for organizing and coaching the team. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by the students of Sloane.
