Our School

Steelesview's school motto is "Spirit and Success". The school provides a dynamic, positive, and productive environment for students. It is an open area school in which staff work collaboratively to plan and deliver classroom programs so that all students can achieve success. There is a close and co-operative partnership between the school and the community that results in additional support, resources, and programs for students.

Elementary Summer School 2021

Important Update: Elementary Summer School to be Remote (Online)

Please note: The health and well-being of TDSB students, staff and families is our top priority. Given the unpredictability of what the status of the COVID-19 pandemic will be in the summer and the need to begin planning well before that time, the decision has been made to offer all Summer Programs fully remote (online) for summer 2021.

While registration originally opened with both in-person and remote classes available, we have decided to offer all classes remotely. For those who have already registered for a remote summer class, you are not required to do anything at this time, your registration will remain active. For those who have registered for in-person classes, the summer school principal will be in touch with you to either transition your child into remote classes or cancel your registration.

The focus of the Elementary Summer School Program is to continue student learning and engagement through the month of July. Programs, embedded in Literacy and Numeracy, are developed by the local summer school principal to reflect the local school focus. Thirty-eight programs are offered to students in Kindergarten to Grade 8, from July 5 - 30, 2021, through remote (online) instruction.

Program Dates: July 5-30, 2021
