Steelesview's school motto is "Spirit and Success". The school provides a dynamic, positive, and productive environment for students. It is an open area school in which staff work collaboratively to plan and deliver classroom programs so that all students can achieve success. There is a close and co-operative partnership between the school and the community that results in additional support, resources, and programs for students.

Kindergarten Registration 2023

February is Kindergarten Registration Month

Registration for all TDSB Kindergarten programs begins in February. We look forward to welcoming you and your child at our school in September!
To attend Junior Kindergarten in September, children must turn four years old by December 31.
To register for Senior Kindergarten, children must be five years old by December 31.

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR NEW STUDENTS

TDSB Online Registration is OPEN! Online registration is for students new to the TDSB. Please do not complete an online registration for a current TDSB student. Online Resources for Remote Learning

  • French as a Second Language (FSL) Resources for Families Google SiteThe FSL Department is excited to launch the FSL Resources for Families Google Site. The site is for parents, guardians and family members of students in French as a Second Language programs in the TDSB. It provides families with information about how to support their child(ren) during Remote Learning including guiding principles, considerations for remote learning in FSL Programs, links to resources, how to support at home, and more.

  • TDSB Mathematics for Families is a Google Site designed for families and features resources and interactive weekly mental math challenges. Be sure to bookmark the Mathematics at the TDSB and the TDSB Mathematics for Families Google sites and visit often as we will continue to update the site with relevant resources  and content throughout the year.

  • Ministry of Education’s Learning at Home website; This portal provides supplementary learning materials in math and literacy for elementary and secondary students. The website will help keep students learning and engaged during the COVID-19 school closure period. The ministry has said that these resources do not replace what students have been learning at school, but are intended to help mitigate the loss of learning during the COVID-19 shutdown period.

Family Supports



  • TDSB’s Community Services department operates the Next Steps Employment Centres across 7 locations in the GTA.   • Settlement Service Availability for Steelesview PS Families - School Settlement Workers continue to provide assistance to Steelesview families in accordance with their needs. The service could be provided in different languages: Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Tagalog & Russian. In addition, we run online group sessions/ZOOM meetings related with financial, mental health and other supports available during COVID-19.
