Parents want the best education for their children. Our goal is to provide your family with a positive learning environment, with a variety of programs and services that promote outstanding student achievement.

Parents are children's first and life-long teachers. We value the partnership between home and school and know that parental involvement is the key to success in school. You can be involved by helping your child with homework, volunteering in our school, or joining our school council. By welcoming you and providing opportunities for you to be involved, we can work together to ensure that our students receive the very best education.

Building Relationships

Parents and community members play a huge role at Topcliff Public School. It takes a village to raise a child, and so we need everyone's help to support our students even if this means you volunteering for 1/2 an hour a week or a few times a month. We have a variety of volunteering opportunities available such as: helping students to read, work in the library, organize the math room or book room or even helping to prepare snacks for our snack program. If you are interested in volunteering at Topcliff, speak to our Vice-Principal, Tracey-Lynn Fitzner at 416-395-2940, extension 20011.

Revised Health and Physical Education Curriculum

In February, 2015, the Ministry of Education released the revised Health and Physical Education curriculum to all school boards in Ontario. The curriculum is not new; it has been revised. The majority of the curriculum has been taught in our schools since 2010. It is the role of the Ministry of Education to develop curriculum and it is the role of the school board to implement it. The school has no control over the content of the curriculum.

Topcliff Parent Coaches

Through our ForKICKS partnership, our parents are trained as flag football coaches. The parent coaches joined our team at this year's Toronto Argonauts Anti-Bullying events.

Parent Volunteers

We love our parent volunteers! Our parents help us with everything from helping to prepare daily snacks, organizing our Book Room, working in the library and classrooms and even coming out to the rink to tie up our students' skates.
