When Can I Register?

You can register four times per year.  Click here to see Orientation dates.

How Much Does it Cost?

The registration fee for our EdVance Program is $30.00 per school year.  This covers the cost of the student agenda, photo ID, celebrations, guest speakers, field trips, student awards, and theme days.

Are There Any Other Costs?

No.

How Many Hours are There Per Day?

6 (Six) hours. There are 3 (three) periods per day,  2 (two) hours each.  Students must take a minimum of 2 periods per day.  Click here for information about the Quadmestered System.

Do You Have Night School/Summer School?

Neither night school or summer school is held at SCAS, but as a SCAS student, we can help you register for these programs at another location.  To register, please click here.

Do You Have E-Learning?
E-Learninig is an on-line credit program.  To register, please click here.

Can I Study Part-Time?

EdVance students are strongly encouraged to study full time in order to achieve their OSSD before turning 21.  Part time study may be granted as a medical accommodation or on the basis of extreme need.  You must speak to your Vice-Principal.

Do I Earn Credits?

Yes, you can earn up to 12 (twelve) credits per school year.  Each successfully completed class will lead to 1 (one) credit.

Who is EdVance for?
  • Students who are between 18 and 20 years old;
  • Students who have a minimum of 5 credits;
  • Students who have grade 9 English, Math and Science;
  • Students who have not yet earned their OSSD;
  • Students who are committed and able to attend everyday for nine weeks.
Does Age Matter?

Yes.  You must be between the ages of 18-20 years old to be eligible for our EdVance Program. 
Note:  Students must be at least 18 years of age on the 1st day of the quad they are entering.
