Getting Active At Anson

During the 2022-2023 school year, students will again be encouraged to walk to school for at least one day weekly. Classes will be awarded the coveted Golden and Silver Shoe Trophy. As we head into the fall and winter months, Anson Taylor students are encouraged to stay active through outdoor sports and games. Students and their families can enjoy local walks to Woodside Square, the library and other community favourites. Let's keep moving this fall!

Our Marathon Of Hope


On September 29, Anson Taylor students participated in the annual Terry Fox Run. Running and walking their way around the school several times gave our students a fun-filled hour to appreciate the beautiful weather with classmates, gain exercise, and reflect on the significance of this important national event.  All proceeds raised go directly towards cancer research and we are proud of our contribution to this cause. This year we surpassed our goal and raised $470!

Healthy Snacks


Healthy eating continues to be of high importance here at Anson Taylor. We offer a morning meal in partnership with the Toronto Foundation for Student Success five mornings a week:  Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  This year, students will enjoy cheese strings, whole grain crackers and various fruits and vegetables.  Thank you for supporting our School Nutrition Program and for continuing to send healthy snacks with your children.
