Parking and Kiss & Ride
With the cooperation of our Community Liaison Police Officer, Broadlands has a Kiss n’ Ride in front of our school. School staff and parent volunteers meet cars just West of the bus loop entrance, and our Safety Patrol students escort students to their playground. This helps to keep the traffic flow moving and to reduce/eliminate the need for cars to park, either in front of the school or in the parking lot. We do want to ensure that we keep the area around our school as safe as possible for our community. A Green Kiss & Ride sign identifies the area, which reads "STUDENT PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF AREA."
Please be mindful of where you park around the school. The bus loop is unavailable to car traffic between 8-4. Also, please be respectful of our Broadlands community, including ensuring that our neighbours are able to access their driveways at all times.
Do you have a child in Junior Kindergarten?
The Toronto District School Board guarantees an offer of placement in the Early French Immersion (not a specific school) to all on-time applicants. Families must apply on-line (for a child currently in Junior Kindergarten or JK age) at www.tdsb.on.ca/pars between November 4 and 29, 2018. Due to the popularity of the Early Immersion program, new French Immersion sites within the TDSB continue to open, which affects program boundaries. Please visit www.tdsb.on.ca/french for more information. You will also find a list of schools that are hosting information nights for families interested in FSL Programs.
* Please note that Broadlands begins in Senior Kindergarten. Please register at your home school for Junior Kindergarten. *
Our school has moved to an online system for collecting payments. To register for School Cash Online, please visit https://tdsb.schoolcashonline.com select “Get Started Today” and complete the three registration steps.
The pathway for students currently enrolled at Broadlands PS for the French Immersion program is Broadlands (SK to 5) – Windfields (6-8) – York Mills (9-12).
Who do I speak to when I have questions/concerns?
We want to work with our Broadlands community and families. Attached is an outline of who to contact when those questions and concerns arise.
