The Drewry Apartment is an Experiential Learning centre where students have the opportunity to develop life skills and independence.
Students use teamwork and communication skills to set the table, do laundry, fold clothes, and sweep and mop. In the kitchen students can learn how to independently prepare snacks or meals for themselves, and how to cater baked goods or prepare advanced recipes. Students develop housekeeping skills in the bedroom of the apartment. In the office students develop sorting and filing skills.
It is encouraged that students practice these skills at home as well, to promote generalization of learning and increased independence for after they graduate.
