Earl Grey School Council is a group of parents/caregivers who believe the relationship between school, home, community, and student helps nurture healthy, successful students.  We act as an advisory body that makes recommendations to the Principal or to the School Board on matters relevant to student success. We consult with parents/caregivers to maintain a school-wide perspective on issues, and we aim to represent and communicate the views of our school community. 

We are committed to: 

• creating, maintaining, and contributing to a climate of understanding and mutual respect for the rights and the dignity of each person.
• identifying, confronting, and eliminating barriers to engagement and participation.
• examining biases and reflecting on how power and privilege affect parents/caregivers and their engagement.  
• supporting individuals who are, or have been, targets of discrimination and harassment.  
• working to prevent discrimination and harassment.  
• taking all allegations of discrimination and harassment seriously and responding promptly by reporting them to the principal. 

Parents/caregivers are not required to be members of School Council to attend meetings and participate with School Council.
