Our students come to EYA with a diversity of experiences from all over the city.  Students have many reasons for their decision to seek out an alternative to mainstream schools.

East York Alternative is a small school of 120 students. Our school community is a dynamic mix of students who are seeking a different kind of education that will prepare them for whatever future pathway they choose.  Many come to the school facing challenges, but once they learn that the staff and other students can create a positive and supportive learning environment together, students can reach their academic and personal goals with the support of the EYA community.
