Literacy 

Our goal is to increase rates in the following: 

• Overall Grade 9 English Pass Rates from 92% of students to 97% of students. 
• Grade 10 Literacy Test (OSSLT) from 70% to 80% of students successful
   

Numeracy

Our goal is to: 

• Continue to increase overall Grade 9 Mathematics Pass Rates from 90% (increased from 84% in last three years) of students to 95% of students. 
• Continue to increase Grade 9 EQAO Academic Math Test from 64% (up from 44% in the last 3 years) to 69% of students achieving at Levels 3 & 4 
•  Continue to increase Grade 9 EQAO Applied Math Test from 29% (up from 10% the last 3 years) to 34% of students achieving at Levels 3 & 4

Pathways

Our goal is to: 

• Continue to increase Grade 9 credit accumulation (7 or more credits) from 82% (increased in last 3 years from 76%) to 87% 
• Increase Science pass rates from 91% to 96% 
• Continue to decrease average absenteeism rates from 10% (lowered from 23% in last 4 years) to 5%
   

Community, Culture & Caring

Our goal is to: 

• Continue to improve our website and increase it's use for communication with parents and the East York Community 
• Share achievement and other data with parents, students and community members 
• Continue to in-service and support staff on the social/emotional issues which affect our students, parents and community
