The Annual HPAS Skating Party is back!
All family member are invited to spend the morning with us.

The Big Chill is a day when HPAS families come together as an intentional community. Caregivers are invited to spend the morning with their children skating, snacking and socializing with one another! In the past, we've been to High Park and George Bell Arena; this year, we will take the event to the Ford Performance Centre at 400 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke, ON M8V 3L1.
Families are invited to arrive at the arena by 9:50 am; check in with your child's homeroom teacher for attendance and lace up! Everyone skates and stumbles and enjoys one another's company. There will be a shared snack table and a schedule that classes will rotate through. If you are able, bring a School Safe Snack to share!
All skaters must wear CSA-approved helmets while on the ice, with no exceptions.
We are working on providing skates and helmets for all those who do not have them. Please complete the Google Form below to indicate sizing and requirements. Alternatively, if you have an old pair to donate, please drop them off in the foyer in the HPAS Skates to Share bin.
To accommodate our move to this year's location, TDSB-registered students can ride on a school bus with their class to the rink. In addition, the buses are available for adult community members who also need a ride to and from the Centre if needed. Busses will depart at 9:30 am after attendance has been taken.
Students leaving with their caregivers after the event (we have ice time until 12:00 and the bus back to school leaves at 12:30) must sign out with their teachers for the afternoon. For those students who return to school, there will be quiet games and activities in the afternoon.
Three forms will need to be completed to help us plan and organize accordingly.

- Permission Form - Will be sent electronically on February 13th, 2023
It is essential that all three forms are completed, whether or not you are attending or require equipment and transportation.
