Welcome to H.J. Alexander Community School. HJA is an elementary school in the heart of Weston and Lawrence and is home of the HJs. We have an incredible staff committed to support your child to be their best, enjoy school, learn, and have fun. Our school is focused on student inclusion, well-being, equity, and rich, deep culturally relevant learning to support positive student outcomes. H.J. Alexander offers extensive extracurricular teams, clubs, and leadership opportunities.

As the Principal of HJA, I am honoured to have the opportunity to earn your trust, and to also work and learn from and with the community, with staff, parents and students. Parents play a key role in the success of their child and together, we will work on ensuring we provide a safe, caring, respectful and inclusive learning environment for all children to reach their full potential.

I truly believe that “It Takes a Village” to raise a child, and I am certain that together, we can support your child and ensure that they experience success at HJA because “Learning is For Life”. I value maintaining strong partnership with families and the community, and I encourage open relationships with all stakeholders where we can discuss any inquiries/concerns.
