Safe Arrival Program

TDSB's Safe Arrival Program

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Safe Arrival Program uses an automated call-out system that will attempt to contact you if your child is late or absent on the day where the school was not previously informed. The system calls the home and cell numbers of parents and emergency contacts who are designated by you as priority 1 or priority 2. The systems makes these calls for the morning attendance period and also for the afternoon attendance period.  If your child is late, the system will call in the evening.

When you receive a call, please listen to the entire message and follow the prompts to confirm your child's absence.  If the system doesn't get a confirmation, it will move on to the next contact until it gets a confirmation of your child's absence.  The order for the calls is: Priority 1's home number, Priority 1's cell number, Priority 2's home number, Priority 2's cell number.  If there is no still no confirmation, the entire process is repeated 3 more times in 10 minute intervals.

If you know your child will be absent, please call the school at (416) 393-0390 or email both and before the absence starts. If you do this, no calls will be made.
