Our team members are dedicated to making Iroquois a more environmentally sustainable space. Our team is open to students in Grade 4, however some Grade 5-6 classes will be invited to help us with specific projects this school year. Students meet at lunch time on Day 4.
We have a special variety of committees such as Litterless Lunch, Energy, Morning Announcements/Website, Assembly, and the Waste committee. We currently have 24 active members. In the fall, we are focusing on waste reduction, and in the spring, we are focusing on energy usage. We are encouraging all students to bring a litterless lunch to school all year long!

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY TIPS FOR STUDENTS:
- Energy: Turn off the lights when you leave the room
- Energy: Unplug or power down appliances or devices when you are not using them
- Waste/Energy: Recycle electronics, chemicals like paint and batteries correctly
- Waste: Sort your waste correctly by using the correct bin
- Waste: Use G.O.O.S. paper as much as possible
- Waste: Use less single-use plastic
- Waste: Bring a litterless lunch every day
- Waste: Bring a reusable waterbottle
- Waste: Donate used clothing to charities in need (instead of putting in the garbage)
