Please come and visit our EarlyON Child and Family Centre with your children from babies up to 6 years. The centre is part of our school and offers fun programs that help children get ready for school. You will also learn about the school and meet other parents and caregivers in the community. Goals of EarlyON Child and Family Centre
- To introduce parents positively to the school system so that they may become involved with their child's education, which results in improved academic outcomes for the child.
- To support and educate parents so that they may be more confident and competent in their parenting.
- To educate parents as to how they can best support their child's learning through our family literacy and numeracy program.
- To provide a "Readiness to Learn" program for infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, which fosters positive parent/child interaction and optimal development of the child.
- To identify disabling conditions such as speech delays, hearing loss, etc. and offer appropriate support.
- To facilitate a smooth transition for children entering kindergarten.
- To serve as a broker for community resources so that parents can readily access the resources they need.
