Gold Level Certification Received for the 2018-2019 School Year

Kingslake PS received a gold level EcoSchools certification level in June 2019 for the 2018-2019 year.  This achievement was the result of a collaborative effort, from our students, caretakers, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, and community partners working together in a systematic and intentional way to reduce our negative impact on the environment (e.g., reducing and recycling our lunch,snack and classroom waste, reusing materials around the school, reducing our energy consumption by keeping classroom lights off when not needed and walking or riding rather than driving to school, and learning about our environmental impact through classroom curriculum connections). 

For the 2019-2020 year, our goal is to continue work towards an EcoSchools certification. We acknowledge that we can only achieve this level by the combined efforts of everyone.
