CREDIT RECOVERY
This is a special program designed to help students recover compulsory credits which they have completed but for which they did not receive a passing mark. The Program primarily targets compulsory credits at the Grade 10 level (namely Math, Science, English, History, Civics and Careers) it may be possible to recover credits at other levels, depending on course availability.
It is recommended that a student have a minimum of 30% as a failing mark so that learning can focus on the overall expectations not previously achieved. The student must be committed to attending the program and not be engaged in behaviours that would compromise the Credit Recovery classroom environment.
Students are identified for credit recovery through the Subject Teacher who completes a Recommended Course Placement Form for each student who has failed. The Credit Recovery Team in consultation with the subject teacher may in turn recommend a student for Credit Recovery.
