Subway II students enjoy independence and flexibility in their learning. The following are school policies that help our community function.
- Full-time students are enrolled in a minimum of three courses per semester
- All students are assigned three days per week on which they must attend school as well as additional days for field trips, guest speakers, and school-wide events
- We open at 830am and close at 130pm (1230 on Wednesdays for staff meetings
- Students must arrive at school before 1030 am and are expected to stay until they have checked in with all of their teachers
- If you arrive after 11am we do not guarantee that you will have time to meet with your teachers
- Students meet with their teachers on a first-come first-served basis
- We have a "No Ins & Outs" policy- once you've arrived, we ask that you stay in the space until you have met with all of your teachers
- You are considered 'absent' when you do not attend on your assigned day and have not called in
- Students make up their absences by coming in on an unassigned day
- All members of our community are asked to take phone calls outside of our main teaching space and to play music through their headphones
