Student Code of Conduct
At Wedgewood Junior School, all students will take A.C.T.I.O.N. That means:
Acceptance, Caring, Tolerance, Involvement, Ownership, Being Neighbourly.
Acceptance
- Be responsible for your actions.
- Actions speak louder than words.
- Show integrity: Do the right thing for the right reason.
- Be honest and fair.
Caring
- Control your own behaviour and make good decisions.
- Care about other people's feelings.
- Demonstrate kindness to each other, our environment, and animals.
- Practise random acts of kindness.
Team Work
- Use your words. Play fighting is not acceptable.
- Use polite language, tone of voice and body language.
- Do not swear, name call, tease or gossip.
- Show respect for race, religion, gender and disability.
Involvement
- Practise safety at school.
- Solve problems. Follow the Second Step guidelines.
- Be prepared for class and complete homework on time.
- If at first you do not succeed, think about what you have learned and try again.
Ownership
- Respect the rights, property, and personal space of others.
- Follow instructions of all staff working at Wedgewood.
- Follow all lunchroom rules.
- Keep hands and feet to yourself.
Neighbourliness
- Take care of personal, school, and community property.
- Keep our school clean and safe by not littering and by reporting all damage.
