Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

Thank you for visiting the school website for West Humber Collegiate Institute.  We are situated in North Etobicoke and have been proudly serving our school community since 1966.  Our school has a rich tradition of academic excellence coupled with a very strong co-curricular program including athletics, student clubs and leadership.  Our staff and students are second to none and our school offers incredible learning opportunities for all students in all pathways.  Please explore our school website including our latest newsletter to learn more about the exciting curricular and co-curricular programs that West Humber has to offer.  Our enriched MST/Pre-AP program caters to students who are passionate about higher learning in mathematics, science and technology.  Students who are accepted into the MST program will take enriched level courses together in grade 9 through grade 11.  In grade 12, in addition to completing University level courses, students may choose to enroll in Advance Placement (AP) courses.  MST @ WHCI is one of the highlights of our school.  Please check the website for information on how to apply for this program.

West Humber is a uniform school.  Our uniform consists of any predominantly black pants, shorts or skirt and any West Humber top.  Our main uniform provider is McCarthy's.  Information about McCarthy's including its location and hours of operation can be found on their website:  https://www.mccarthyuniforms.ca/Location/Toronto/4/Details   Please take the time to buy at least 2 or 3 uniform tops for your child.  Kindly speak to me if you have any questions or concerns regarding our school uniform.

I encourage you to be involved with the education of your children. Be sure to check out our school website regularly at www.westhumber.com to look for upcoming events. My door is also always open for you to drop in at any time to see me about any concerns that you may wish to discuss.  Thank you in advance for your ongoing support and commitment to our school.
