Welcome from Wilkinson
Parent Council Co-chairs
Hi! We’re the new co-chairs of Parent Council for
the 2025–26 school year and are thrilled to be part of the wonderful Wilkinson
community.
I’m Rebecca MacKenzie, parent to Frances (Grade 1) and Charlie (SK), and
I’m
Paris Semansky, parent to Anna (Grade 3) and Mira (SK).
Wilkinson is fortunate to have
a very active Council made up of engaged parents and guardians from across our
community. Since the pandemic, Council has done an incredible job
bringing back events that reconnect us and raise funds for things the school
isn’t funded for—like sports equipment and uniforms, technology, guest
speakers, and specialized books and resources.
We’re always looking for new
members and volunteers, and we’d love for you to get involved in whatever way
feels right for your family. Parent Council works to make each child’s
experience at Wilkinson as rewarding as possible, and even small contributions
make a big difference. Reach out anytime—whether you’re interested in joining
or simply want to connect. You can email us
here.
COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all Wilkinson parents, guardians, staff and appointed community members. New members are always encouraged to join to ensure our Council remains vibrant and representative of the diverse perspectives and demographics of our school population. Some members stay on the Council for a few years while others may move on after a year. Childcare is provided at all Council meetings to facilitate participation.
COUNCIL CONSTITUTION
The mandate and responsibilities of the Council and its members are covered in the Wilkinson School Community Council Constitution (same by-laws in TDSB Template Format), WSCC Expense Reimbursement Policy, and WSCC Finance Processes
