Outside of the classroom, Burnhamthorpe has so much to offer in the form of clubs, sports, arts, assemblies, special events, and celebrations. Below are some examples:
  • open gym at lunch (basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton)
  • sports tournaments with other Adult schools
  • art club, chess club, cooking club, karaoke club, poetry club (start your own club!)
  • student ambassadors (leadership & student voice)
  • peer tutoring, ESL speech competition
  • lunch & learns (community services, employment, colleges/universities)
  • talent show & themed assemblies in our auditorium
