Registration Infomation

1. Confirming CTS is your Home School

2. Grade 8 to Grade 9 Transition to CTS for September 2024

3. In-District (Home School Transfer) Applicant

For students currently in grades 9 - 12

  • Students are considered in-district (home school) to Central Tech if they are attending a private or separate school and living in the Central Tech catchment area.
  • In-district students attending another TDSB school must complete an Optional Attendance Form as their current school is considered to be their home school.
  • You will be asked to supply documentation that you live in our area.
  • Notification of acceptance will be sent advising students that registration appointments will be scheduled in early April.
  • §In-district students going to a private/separate school can pick-up a registration package beginning in December.

4. Out-Of-Area Admissions

Students also have the opportunity to access Central Technical if they reside outside of the area designated to serve their home address by applying for Out-of-Area Admissions. Acceptance at these schools is subject to space availability and program suitability. Find more information and details here.

 When applying for Out-of-Area admissions in September 2024, applicants may include one school/program choice on their application.

 The Secondary Out-of-Area Admissions Application will be available on January 8, 2024



5. Central Student Interest Program in Visual Arts (CSIP)

Applicants can apply for ONE Primary Program choice and may include ONE Alternate Program Choice on their application. Alternate Program applications will only be considered after all Primary Program applications have been offered spaces.
If your child is accepted in their Primary Program, they will not be considered for their Alternate Application. 
If your child is accepted in their Alternate Program, they will remain on the waitlist for their Primary Program. Should you wish to remain in the Alternate Program, please contact your current school to be removed from your Primary Program waitlist.

Important Dates

Application Deadline: Friday, November 24, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
No applications will be considered after this date/time.
December 7, 2023 - First offers will be sent via email. Offers expire December 13, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
December 14, 2023 - Second offers will be sent via email. Offers expire December 20, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
Offers will continue to be made until February 21, 2024 at which time, central waitlists will become nul and void.

January 8th, 2024 -  Out of Area Applications due by 4:00 p.m. 

February TBD, 2024 - Deadline for parents/guardians of students to be informed of the status of the application request

February TBD, 2024 - Parents/guardians must inform the requested school of their acceptance of the offer via email and submit course selections via MyBlueprint
