About Us

The Chess Team meets twice per week throughout the year to play chess and other strategic games. In January, we will play an open tournament that will lead to the selection of the school's Chess Team. The team will represent Charles Gordon at the region final that has been held at our school for the last several years.

Accomplishments

• represented TDSB East region at City Finals 2002-06
• come within one victory of making City Finals 2008-09

Goals 

• have fun
• meet students from other classes
• students who already know how to play chess can play opponents and improve their game
• students who have never played before can learn to play chess
