Dunlace Public School was opened in 1962, replacing the original Oriole Public School that served the community since 1826. Our school serves approximately 250+ students and represents 28 different language groups from 30 countries around the world. We are part of Learning Centre 2, Family of Schools 13 and Ward 13. Kurt McIntosh is the Superintendent and Rachel Chernos-Lin is the Trustee.
We are a dual track school offering regular English and Early French Immersion programs. The French Immersion and is considered a specialized program at the TDSB and have specific admission procedures. The school site includes a full gym facility, and a Maker Space housed in the library. The grounds include: two adventure playgrounds (one belonging to the childcare centre and the other to the school); a kindergarten playground, basketball hoops; baseball diamond; a soccer field and outdoor classrooms.
An independent Daycare centre, whose philosophy supports and extends that of the school, is housed in the building.
