Technological Studies

Technological Studies is an applied field where students explore and develop practical skills through hands-on projects, focusing on areas like design, food preparation, construction and digital multimedia. It emphasizes design process, problem-solving, innovation and safety while using modern tools, technologies and industry leading software. Students learn how to plan, create and evaluate tangible projects, bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world applications across various industries, preparing them for technical careers and/or post-secondary education challenges.

 

Architectural & Mechanical Design

Learn to use Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (GADD) software to develop design solutions and even create your dream homes and/or buildings.

Technological Design

Get creative and build your own designs, models, and prototypes! From metalwork to clothing to woodwork-students will assess products and processes using cutting-edge tools, techniques and strategies.

Hospitality and Tourism

This course provides students with opportunities to explore different areas of hospitality and tourism with an emphasis on food service.

Digital Media Arts & Technology (Communications Technology)

The course will introduce students to print and graphic design communications, digital photography, digital illustration 2D-animation, video production and more, utilizing industry-standard software.

Print & Graphic Design Communications (Communications Technology)

The focus will be on graphic design as it applies the world of communication. Print media will be the focus. Student will explore photography, typography, illustration while using industry-standard software.

Animation & Video Production (Communications Technology)

Students will explore the world of animation and video production. From computer animation to special effects, students will bring their ideas to life!

Hairstyling and Aesthetics

Using materials, processes, and techniques used in the industry, students learn fundamental skills in hairstyling, giving manicures and facials, and providing hair/scalp analyses and treatments.
