Helping Your Child

Parents or guardians always can help their child getting ready for kindergarten. There are many Kindergarten Resources suggested by board that can be followed at home. Besides there are few suggestions that Eecole Elmlea staff would like to make

• Be sure to come for the open house and meet the teachers in order to ensure the clear understanding of the program.
• Talk to your child about school and what happens in the schools. Read some books or watch TV shows related to first day of school.
• Visit Toronto Public Library and join the story time or other kids program there so that your child is familiar with group setting.
• Read the Ministry of Education suggestions
