Clubs At General Mercer
Every Friday, the grade six girls meet at lunch for Girls Club. The goal of the club is to build self-esteem, develop positive relationships, and explore topics that are important to the girls (i.e., healthy body image, food and nutrition, self-awareness, friends and other relationships, etc.). The General Mercer Girls Club raised over $100 for a local women’s shelter last December. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a number of leadership activities within the school and community.
- Choir
- We are excited to offer the students the opportunity to extend their musical skills by participating in the school choir. Students meet regularly through out the year at lunch.
- Strings
- General Mercer is fortunate to have an Itinerant strings Music teacher who will be working with the Grade 5/6 again this year.
- Environment Club
- Students meet weekly to help maintain school plants and manicure the school garden at the front of the school.
