Principal Murphy's Message 2023-2024 Dear Parents/Guardians:

Heritage Huskies Mascot - AK 2023

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to Heritage Park Public School 2023-2024. We can't wait to see all of our students on September 5th! I look forward to working together with our students, staff, families, and community to promote joy, engagement and belonging at Heritage Park as a foundation for academic achievement and student success!

Heritage Park has a variety of teaching and support staff including French, Special Education Resource Teacher, ESL Itinerant teacher, Librarian, and Music teacher. Our school has an Intensive Support Program – Learning Disability Program where teachers and support staff work together to create an inclusive environment for students to engage in learning.  We also have an Itinerant Music who will be partnering with Heritage Park.

I want to thank our dedicated staff for planning over the summer and preparing their learning spaces for our students. It is exciting to feel the positive energy and enthusiasm as we prepare for a new school year. To our caretaking team who worked throughout the summer months to get our school ready for the first day. Heritage Park is spotless and sparkling. To our Office Administrator for all your efforts in the office ensuring that our students, families, and staff are always supported.

We have some new additions to the Heritage Staff. We welcome Ms. Kim; she will be teaching music and Ms.Enman our Special Needs Assistant (SNA).

Heritage Park is home to Malvern Child Care.  Together, we look forward to serving the Heritage Park families and community.

As we look ahead to this school year with excitement it is important to note that all the relationships and interactions in our school community is centered on respect.  In a respectful environment, students: -feel safe -willing to work together -listen attentively and -try their best every day We will continue our character education learning each month with our students. Kindly discuss the concept of respect with your child, the importance of being respectful to self and others and part of that is coming to school prepared for learning.

For this school year 2023-2024, Heritage Park will be a PHONE-FREE ZONE. This means that students should not have a cell phone on them during the school day. Students who bring a cell phone to school must safely secure it in their locker or inside their backpack. Cell phones are prohibited in the restrooms.  We have phones in the main office that students can use any time. Thank you for your cooperation.

We encourage parents/guardians to be involved in their children’s education by supporting our School Council. Education is a partnership between parents, students, teachers, and school administration. Your involvement can make a difference! Our first school council meeting is on Monday, September 18th @ 4:00pm!
