Mental Health and Well Being 

Mental Health and Well Being is very important to all of us at JDP! We are working hard to bring mindfulness techniques to our students. We have also noticed that many teachers are trying to incorporate wellness into their everyday lives. You might see a few of them using a few minutes at lunch to go for a walk or to participate in a short yoga or fitness class. Taking a mental break is important for children and adults alike!

Parker-Pals 

At John D. Parker family is important to us and as our school song says, "We are one big family, JDP is, the place to be!" JDP is a No Bullying Zone.

What to do if we feel upset. Here are some of their suggestions:

  • Talk to a friend or an adult
  • Take deep breaths
  • Walk away or read a book
  • Count backwards from 10

 

 

JDP Food Drive

As a school we are responsive to our surrounding community by launching a food-drive that donates food to a local homeless shelter.

 

JDP Family Christmas Fund

Every year the JDP staff takes care of those in need by making sure each child enjoys the holidays by donating to our families in need.
