The Science
Department welcomes Joanne Pugsley, Tesfazghi.Berhane-Kifluemand Theo Zagar to our team.
Ms. Pugsley
joins us from Boylen C.I.
This year she will be teaching a combination of General Science and
Chemistry. We are very excited to
welcome her, knowing that she brings a wealth of experience and skill!
Mr. Zagar is a
former professional soccer player.
He will be teaching Phys Ed and Science. We have no doubt his classes will be both informative and
energetic.
Science Department Launches Multimedia Lab
We are excited
to announce that our department will be launching a Multimedia Lab this
year. This lab will allow small
groups of students to produce multimedia products that illustrate their
learning in science
Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are
needed to care for the fish, birds and plants in the biology department. If you are interested assisting, please
see Mrs. KelleyMaharaj. Your
assistance will qualify for Volunteer Hours.
SickKids’ Nursing Workshop
On Sunday,
September 20th, 2015, Manulife Kids Science will be holding its first ever
workshop devoted entirely to nursing.
The event is
being done in cooperation with the nursing program at SickKids, as well as the
Collaborative for Professional Practice with the goal of educating and
inspiring high school students to become the next generation of nurses through
talks, small group discussions and interactive experiences.
Interested
students are interested, please have them fill out the forms at the end of this
message and submit them via email to

9am on September 14, 2015.
Please note
that lunch (pizza and pop) will be provided at the event. Student with food allergies or preferences
must indicate this information in their email with their application forms.
