The RCI Library Learning Commons is bustling hub of collaborative, cooperative, digital, global, and individual learning. With teacher-librarians and a wealth of digital and print resources, you can locate, access, process, and create the information you need for assignments, or for your own entertainment.

Students may come to the library during class hours with their classroom teacher for a scheduled lesson, or with a signed library pass from their classroom teacher. Students on SPARE must be registered in the library and must sign in on every visit.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Research, exploration, and study are the primary focus of the library

• Classes take priority in the library; students on spares OR with written permission from their classroom teacher may use the library and computers when space allows

• Printing B&W is free for the first 200 pages; colour copies are 25¢ per page 

• Photocopying is also free (single sided only) 

• You need your SAC card or photo ID to borrow materials

• Books on loan for 3 weeks; magazines for 3 days; DVDs for 1 day

• All items may be renewed as often as needed

• Overdue fines are 10¢ per day per item ($1 per day for DVDs)

• The replacement value of lost or damaged materials must be resolved, by payment or in kind
