Presteign Heights Elementary School

Established in 1951 as part of the former East York Board of Education, Presteign Heights Elementary School began with just 5 rooms and expanded significantly with a 4 room addition in 1952 and the construction of its Gymnasium and Library in 1976. Today, it is recognized as a Platinum Eco-School and serves as a vibrant community hub within the Parkview Hills neighborhood, noted for having one of the largest cross-country teams in the TDSB despite its small student population. The school’s dual-track curriculum offers both English (FDK-Grade 5) and Middle French Immersion (Grade 4-5) programs for students. Beyond academics, Presteign Heights is highlighted by its deep-rooted community traditions, including the annual Spring Fair, a long-standing Turkey Lunch, and active student leadership and athletic programs.
