LTV (Leacock Television)

The emphasis course for Communications Technology (TGV3/4M) at Stephen Leacock focuses on Television, Video and Movie Production. Dubbed LTV, this course offers students a unique opportunity to develop high-end skills that can lead to careers in film, broadcasting, and related communications industries.
The course began in 1970 and has been instrumental in the training and placement of many Canadian broadcasters. We have a unique production facility at Stephen Leacock. Taught by teachers with years of media-related experience, students can have an in-depth and hands-on learning experience with various areas of the production world.

LTV Weekly

The students enrolled in the Communications Technology: TV, Video & Movie Production course get the chance to become creators of video content for their school community. They are trained on planning storyboards, writing scripts, working with state-of-the-art video equipment and editing footage in industry-standard programs like Adobe Premiere.

LTV Weekly is the name of the student-run YouTube series which captures student life and puts it on the screen. From interviews, to event recaps, and from academics to games, if it’s newsworthy, LTV Weekly will cover it. If you haven’t subscribed, make sure that you do and tune in to our weekly(ish) episodes!
