Community Hours

Community Hours

All students hoping to achieve their OSSD (High school diploma) are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement. The volunteer's supervisor and guardian should sign off on this.

Please note that you should not volunteer for a corporation or business or complete work that someone else would have been paid to complete. Before you begin your volunteer placement, check whether it qualifies (for placements that may create doubt).

Please review the community hours form to see what is eligible and not eligible for Community Involvement placement sites:

TDSB Community Involvement Form: https://www.tdsb.on.ca/portals/0/highschool/docs/communityinvolvementform.pdf

After you have completed the entries on the form, you can email them to vssguidance@tdsb.on.ca so that the guidance department can include them in your student records.
