Wednesday, April 23, 2025 - Day 2

Hello Bowmore!

Dental screening will begin today in the cafeteria.

Ms. Jarvis - Forest of Reading: Today is our voting day for Forest of Reading! Silver Birch and Red Maple book clubs, please come to the library during the lunch hour to vote for your favourite book.

Primary classes, please come to the library during your voting time slot to place your vote. Stay tuned for this year’s winners.

Attention students and staff:  Starting today, students are no longer allowed to use the playground with the swings, including the play structure in that area. This space is a City of Toronto park that is now being used by the community centre and local daycare groups as the weather gets warmer. To ensure everyone has safe access to outdoor spaces, we’ll be using a different area. Students are welcome to use the playground near the tennis courts during recess and outdoor breaks. Staff on supervision, please help remind students of this change and support them in transitioning to the new area. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Brewster, Ross, Simpson - Dungeons and Dragons: Calling adventurers to the D&D Club at lunch today. All the usual rooms will be open.
Come on out and try your luck. May the dice be ever in your favour.

Mme Riddle and Ms Rahbek - Primary Chess Club: Primary Chess Club meets today for students in Session C. Eat your lunch in the lunchroom and then come to Room 8 at 12:15.

This is today’s Caring and Safe Schools reminder: During instructional time, students are expected to be in their classrooms and actively engaged in learning. Hallways should remain clear to ensure a quiet, safe, and focused school environment for everyone. Please do not slam lockers or classroom doors, as this disrupts others and can cause damage and harm. Let’s all do our part to show respect for our learning environment and for one another. This is a reminder that every locker must have a lock. Any lockers that are not locked by Friday will be sealed shut as part of our school safety procedures.

B.S.A. - Today is the last day to support the BSA Springtime Lunch Counter, as we bring live African Drumming to the whole school. We kindly ask staff and students to  pre-order through the Google form provided by your teacher. The Lunch Counter will take place on Friday April 25. Thank you for your attention and your support.

Mr Lall - Cricket tryouts: There will be a lunchtime Cricket tryout on the field today at 12:10 for ALL students interested in playing cricket this spring.

Have a wonderful day of learning!
