School Improvement Plan

All schools must have a School Improvement Plan. A school improvement plan is designed to make the school a more functional teaching and learning environment. At Cedarbrae our school improvement plan is based on the TDSB's 3 pillars of education, equity, achievement, and well being. Our current school improvement plan is as follows:

Equity:

Learn the fundamentals of culturally relevant and responsive pedagogy to be able to apply the framework in lesson planning and resource selection to address any impact of implicit bias in our practice and relationships with students.

Achievement:

To increase student academic success by providing differentiated reading and numeracy support for all students through the use of technology and evidenced based strategies (eg. culturally relevant pedagogy)

Well-Being:

To increase the sense of connectedness between students and the adults in the building through the promotion of caring adult mentorship intervention and the integration of student voice in decision making.
