Summer School

Current TDSB Grade 8 students are eligible to register for the TDSB Continuing Education, Remote Secondary Full Credit Summer Reach Ahead Course, GLD2O1.

GLD2O1- Exploring My Future – Grade 10 – Open: Students will enhance their literacy and numeracy skills, increase their essential skills and personal development, be supported in their transition to secondary school and develop friendships through positive relationship building.

Grade 8 Reach Ahead Summer School

  • Remote OR In-Person Grade 8 Reach Ahead Program for incoming TDSB Grade 9 Students ONLY - Flyer

Program Details: Remote OR In-Person Continuing Education, Secondary Credit- GLD2O1

Session: One session in July through Continuing Education

Where: One session in July through Continuing Education

Where: In-Person Summer Sites Remote Summer

When: July 4 - 28, 2023

  • Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. on April 18, 2023
  • Registration closes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023

In both programs students will be with their teacher - Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Attendance is MANDATORY

Consent: Grade 8 students interested in taking the GLD2O1 Reach Ahead course with Continuing Education MUST complete and upload the Parental/Guardian Consent Form with their course request.

 

Important Notes

  • Space is limited and the course may fill up prior to the close of registration.
  • All Summer School students are responsible for providing their own learning materials, including laptops/internet access.
  • Grade 8 students are not eligible to enroll into any other TDSB-Continuing Education Secondary Credit or e-Summer courses.
  • A link to the mandatory Permission to Enroll in a Grade 8 Reach Ahead Credit Course Form will be included in an email sent to the student after they have requested a course GLD2O1 (Continuing Education) or GLD20E (e-Learning) through the appropriate programs.
  • Please complete the form and upload all documents to the student's e-Reg profile.
