Leonard Braithwaite Africentric Program
The Leonard Braithwaite Africentric Program, Canada’s first Africentric secondary program, is an integral and distinguished part of Winston Churchill Collegiate. This rigorous academic program offers students the opportunity to engage with the Ontario curriculum through an Africentric lens, fostering a strong sense of community, academic excellence, and cultural identity.
Students complete all compulsory junior courses within the Africentric program, providing a solid foundation for related senior-level studies. Our graduates pursue a full range of postsecondary pathways and remain active, valued members of our school community.
We are committed to supporting our students’ academic, athletic, and personal growth. We believe in their potential, respect their individual needs, and encourage their aspirations.
