Final Exams

Final Exam Schedule

Students are expected to check the schedule carefully and report to the examination room by 8:45 for morning exams, or 12:45 for afternoon exams. This will provide 15 minutes for presiding teacher to go over instructions, check student ID, and complete attendance prior to the scheduled start times of 9:00 and 1:00 respectively.

Students requiring it may access extra time, up to double the scheduled length (so for a 1 hour exam, students can elect to write for up to 2 hours. For a 1.5 hour exam, students can write for up to 3 hours.)

Students are reminded that electronic devices (including wireless earbuds) are prohibited. Earplugs and noise cancelling headphones are available for those who need them.

All students must attend their exam, or submit medical documentation to their Vice Principal for consideration. Medical notes should include the date of the exam and specify that the student is unable to write the exam on the date in question. In the case of unexpected illness, notes must be submitted within 24 hours after the exam was scheduled.

Boundary Changes

Danforth's boundary was dissolved in May 2024 when the TDSB voted to eliminate Technical and Commercial Boundaries. For the 2025-26 school year, Danforth will become an application only school serving the entire City of Toronto. Students interested in attending Danforth from 2025 on, will be required to apply through the Secondary School Without a Boundary (SSWAB) Process in January.
