BTT201 Information & Communication Technology in Business This course introduces students to information and communication technology in a businessenvironment and builds a foundation of digital literacy skills necessary for success in a technologically driven society. Students will develop word processing, spreadsheet, database,desktop publishing, presentation software, and website design skills.Throughout the course,there is an emphasis on digital literacy, effective electronic research and communication skills,and current issues related to the impact of information and communication technology.


BBI2O1 Introduction to Business develops an understanding of the functions of business, including accounting, marketing, human resources, finance, international business and entrepreneurship. Students can choose this in grade 9 or 10 course selections.

BAF3M1 Introduction to Financial Accounting introduces students to fundamental principles and procedures of accounting for service and merchandising businesses. It introduces computerized accounting, financial analysis, and current accounting issues in business. Students can choose this in grade 11 or 12.

BMI3C1 Marketing: Goods, Services, Events examines how trends, issues, economic changes, and information technology influence consumer buying habits. Advertising, promotion, market research and other marketing strategies, marketing plan development. Students can choose this in grade 11 or 12.

BAT4M1 Financial Accounting Principles takes students to an advanced level in preparation for post-secondary studies in business. Students analyze financial statements and examine how they are interpreted in order to assist in business decisions. They develop further accounting methods for assets, procedures of accounting for a partnership and corporation. Students can choose this in grade 12 after completing the pre-requisite of BAF3M1.

BBB4M1 International Business Fundamentals emphasizes the importance of trade in the global economy and the factors that influence success in international markets. Cultural, social, and political differences between nations influence a business’s ability to sell a product in different markets. Students can choose this in grade 11 or 12. Recommended (but not required) pre-requisite is BBI2O1 or another senior business course.

BOH4M1 Business Leadership: Management and Fundamentals students develop leadership skills used in business management. They focus on decision-making, group dynamics, workplace
stress and conflict, motivation of employees, communication skills, and ethics. Students can choose this in grade 11 or 12. Recommended (but not required) pre-requisite is BBI2O1 or another senior business course.

IDC4U1 Financial Securities students take this locally developed course to understand financial investments, financial management, capital markets, and stock portfolios. Students can choose this in grade 11 or 12.  Recommended (but not required) pre-requisite is BBI2O1 or another senior business course.
