What Does DMCI Students Services Do?

In late August, we welcome all future Grade Nines to attend (MOU) MOVING ON UP.  We run this special program every year for incoming Grade Nine students.  This is an opportunity to register and receive timetables as well as attend an orientation session that helps grade nine students become familiar and adjust to high school.

The upcoming MOU day for incoming grade 9's is on TBA.

In September DMCI invites all parents to our Curriculum Night. We know parents want the best education for their children so our goal is to provide your family with a positive learning environment and a variety of programs and services that promote outstanding student achievement. We value the partnership between home and school and know that parental involvement is the key to student success.

In November we host our Post-Secondary Pathways fair where all the universities, colleges and other opportunities are presented by delegates for students to be thinking about their future choices. We’re hoping that our students do research and ask the reps relevant questions that will ease their stress levels and help them make informed and confident decisions. We usually have more than 30 university, college, apprenticeship and GAP experience reps. It is always a fantastic day and the start of dreams and plans for many of our students to find out more.

In the fall we also host our After 8 Open House Night on Tuesday November 27, 2018 showcasing our dynamic high school program including special programming for CyberArts, Gifted and Green Industries. If you missed this opportunity and would like more information, please contact Student Services at (416) 395-3192 #20040 to arrange a visit.

In semester 2 we start the course selection process.   Students will be provided with all the information needed to select courses for the upcoming year.  "Choices" placemates will be distributed and students will have the opportunity to select their courses through myBlueprint.  The deadline to select courses is February 25, 2019.

So, lots is happening to support our students at DMCI. Your learners belong here!
