What Does DMCI Students Services Do?

In late August, we welcome all future grade nines to attend (H2H) Head Start to High School.  We run this special program every year for incoming grade 9 students.  This is an opportunity to register, pay fees and receive timetables as well as attend an orientation session that helps grade nine students become familiar and adjust to high school.

NEW!  The upcoming H2H day for incoming grade 9's is: MONDAY AUGUST 30th, 2021 @ 8:45am - 12:00.  There is no need to register for this event, just show up :)

In September DMCI invites all parents to our Curriculum Night.  This year is will be on TDA.  We know parents want the best education for their children so our goal is to provide your family with a positive learning environment and a variety of programs and services that promote outstanding student achievement. We value the partnership between home and school and know that parental involvement is the key to student success.

In November we host our Post-Secondary Pathways fair where all the universities, colleges, and other opportunities are presented by delegates for students to be thinking about their future choices. This year the date will be: TBA.  We traditionally have had more than 30 university, college, apprenticeship and GAP experienced reps. It is always a fantastic day and the start of dreams and plans for many of our students to find out more.

Individual university and college virtual information sessions will be scheduled for DMCI students in October and November 2021.   Individual virtual visit dates will be announced later in the spring

Families are also always encouraged to participate in virtual open houses offered by each university/College. We’re hoping that our DMCI students do research and ask the reps relevant questions that will ease their stress levels and help them make informed and confident post-secondary decisions. We usually have more than 30 university, college, apprenticeship, and GAP experienced reps. It is always a fantastic day and the start of dreams and plans for many of our students to find out more.

In the fall we also host our virtual ZOOM Beyond 8 Open House Night on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 @ 6:00pm showcasing our dynamic high school program including special programming for CyberArts, Gifted, and EMERGING GREEN TECHNOLOGIES
