Google Classrooms

Eglinton Google Classrooms

Many of our teachers plan to use Google Classrooms as their online platform for the second phase of Learn at Home.  This is where students, parents and teachers can go to get or share information, assignments and homework. Students (and parents) can get access to their Google Classroom by:

1. Logging into the TDSB's Academic Workspace, (aw.tdsb.on.ca), using their TDSB email address. The format for student addresses in the TDSB is firstname.lastname@student.tdsb.on.ca and their password.  ( For more info about TDSB student email accounts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlwx_0NjwgY&index=15&list=PLW27X4KRqSSg_C3_07f0Pp1Wx-GbCNihU )

2. Click on the tab titled, "Google Apps"

3. Click on Classroom, and you will be in your Google Classroom.

You can access your child's Google classroom using any browser or you can download the Classroom app for your android or apple smartphone.  If you have any questions, please connect with:

E-Mail Summaries for Parents

Parents & Guardians can sign up to receive email summaries of the assignments and work posted to your child's Google classroom. You can choose the frequency of the emails, such as daily or weekly. You can unsubscribe or remove yourself from Classroom at any time.

 Parent email summaries include:

  • Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent
  • Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
  • Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers
