(Feb. 9, 2020) In June 2018, the TDSB Special
Planning and Priorities committee recommended that
Whitney Junior Public
School
be
the designated elementary school for students residing in 9 residential
developments being built in the Eglinton Public School attendance area. We
published those addresses in an Update last year and also on our school
website.
Those
addresses can be (and often are) changed by developers. When developers submit
applications to construct new residential buildings in the City, they use the
existing municipal address associated with the parcel(s) of land that they are
looking to redevelop. The municipal address of a proposed development could be
revised prior to project completion for a variety of reasons, such as when the
new construction results in an additional building or the main entrance to the
building is on a different street.
In
those instances, the developer would submit an application to the City
requesting the revision. Once approved, the City would forward the notice of
the revised address to the TDSB so that staff can update the new address in the
TDSB street guide. Addresses contained in any Board-approved development
redirection report could potentially change prior to the buildings’ completion.
Before
you move, rent or purchase a home in our area, please refer to the TDSB street
guide for the most up-to-date address and school information (

to see if your child can attend Eglinton PS.
